![]() ![]() The pink connector piece I cut from a donor vehicle at the salvage yard, hoping to un-solder it from the board I cut and solder it onto my WCM. For 2011 and newer it actually goes closer to where the dash speakers are, see this post Steffen made Steffen "adding remote start range" I have attached a photo of where it goes, the 2 holes you see are where the normal metal screw brackets clip into the plastic piece and the antenna is screwed onto it. The remote start antenna plugs into that pink connector on the back of the WCM and goes up and underneath the instrument cluster trim panel. ![]() (assuming the hood ajar switch is installed and you have a way to make the connection on the key fob) -There is. The difficulty I am having is that the clearance between this plastic frame and where the connector needs to be soldered onto the board is too small to get the job done well, so I have yet to add it. Any 5'th gen van has the capability of remote start from factory, the hood ajar connector is present on the vans under the TIPM, and by activating the hood ajar switch on appcar, and resetting the WCM, the remote start will work. A member Steffen made a post about adding the remote start antenna to his 2012 T&C but his WCM has screws holding the WCM together, which is different from mine that mine is held onto the dash with screws but it has this plastic inside frame holding everything together which goes ontop of the board and then the rotating ignition mechanism is placed ontop to secure it and is soldered into place. For vehicles without remote start, this connector piece is not present, or at least on my 09 SE it's not but the board does have holes in it where the antenna connector goes. ![]() Click to expand. The antenna plugs into the back of the WCM where there is a violet connector piece soldered onto the WCM board. ![]()
